Privacy Policy

Overview
Noise Logger is a local-only application. It does not connect to the internet, does not send data to any server, and does not include analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
Microphone
Noise Logger accesses the microphone to compute sound levels, detect threshold crossings, and record audio clips. All audio processing and storage occurs entirely on your device. Audio data is never transmitted to any third party or external server.
Location
If you enable location tagging in Settings, Noise Logger accesses your GPS coordinates at the moment each recording clip is triggered. Coordinates are stored locally alongside the clip and are included in session exports only at your explicit request via the Forward action. Location data is never transmitted automatically or shared with third parties.
Camera
If you enable photo capture in Settings, Noise Logger takes a still photo at each threshold crossing. Photos are stored locally in the app's Documents folder. They are included in session exports only at your explicit request. No photos are transmitted automatically.
Data storage
All data — audio clips, photos, session metadata, and settings — is stored in the app's sandboxed container on your device. It is not backed up to iCloud unless you have enabled iCloud Drive backup for this app in your iOS settings. You can delete all data by deleting individual sessions in the app, or by deleting the app itself.
Third-party services
Noise Logger uses no third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, or advertising frameworks. Reverse geocoding (converting GPS coordinates to place names) is performed using Apple's CLGeocoder, which is subject to Apple's own privacy policy.
Children
Noise Logger does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no features directed at children.
Changes
If the privacy practices of this app change materially, an updated policy will be included in the next release. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
